Breathe! You Are Alive!
"It is difficult if not impossible to practice the way of understanding and love without a sangha, a community of friends who practise the same way."
We practice mindfulness in the tradition of the Vietnamese Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh
Everybody is most welcome to join us for our mornings of mindfulness - no need to book, just turn up.
We meet every Saturday morning in the Friends Meeting House at 52 St Martin's Lane (near Trafalgar Square, between Leicester Square and Charing Cross Tube stations). The entrance is at number 8 Hop Gardens, the lane that runs off St Martin's Lane next to Gymbox. Mats, cushions and chairs are provided although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.
There will be a greeter at the door from around 10am until 10:30am sharp. Once the greeter has closed the door and returned to the meditation room the Morning of Mindfulness will begin.
It is best to aim to arrive no later than 10.15am so that you have time to settle before the start.
Mornings of Mindfulness
A typical Morning of Mindfulness consists of silent, guided and walking meditation, listening to a Dharma talk and mindful sharing. This part of the programme ends at 1.00pm.
In the afternoon, we host the Wake Up London Group
The suggested donation is £7 but can be more or less according to your financial situation. The money is used primarily to pay the rent, and any surplus goes to support other sangha activities.
