Breathe! You Are Alive!
"It is difficult if not impossible to practice the way of understanding and love without a sangha, a community of friends who practise the same way."
We practice mindfulness in the tradition of the Vietnamese Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh
Everybody is most welcome to join us for our mornings of mindfulness - no need to book, just turn up.
We meet every Saturday morning at the Friends Meeting House, 8 Hop Gardens WC2N 4EH. Hop Lane is a pedestrian passageway adjoining St Martins Lane next to Gymbox. Nearest tubes are Leicester Square or Charing Cross. There will be a greeter at the door from around 10am and it is best to arrive no later than 10.15am so that you have time to settle before we start. There is no admittance after 10.30am. We finish at 1pm and you'd be welcome to stay for a cup of tea and a chat afterwards.
Mornings of Mindfulness
A typical Morning of Mindfulness consists of silent, guided and walking meditation, listening to a Dharma talk and mindful sharing. Mats, cushions and chairs are provided although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.
In the afternoon, we host Wake Up London. This is our group for under-35s.
The suggested donation is £7 but can be more or less according to your financial situation. The money is used primarily to pay the rent, and any surplus goes to support other sangha activities.
